Memorial Weekend @ the Lake

Staci had the best news for us this Memorial Day weekend. Can you guess what it is? I warned her to make sure she made all her phone calls, because I would have it up on the blog as soon as I got home, so I hope she took me serious!! YES, we are going to have another grandchild!!
(due the end of Dec.!!)
Cade played "air" baseball, with Grandma rooting him on from the deck. He is so awesome, every hit was a home run!!

rounding second and going to third

If this isn't Sarah's open mouth smile I don't know what is!

Cade be chillin

Makynli and Cade are ROCK'N!!

Grandma's baby doll!!

little piece of heaven

Gotta have that protection from the sun.

Makynli doing some fishing

Cade with his "guns up". Madi with her own version.
Olivia's first tube ride. She didn't think much of it one way or the other. As long as she is with her mom she is happy.
This is Makynli's first tube ride also. She was not impressed at all. Maybe next time.

Madi would not get in the lake for a swim even though she had been tubing all day. Here she is pouting because everyone else is having lots of fun except her.

On the other hand,... Makynli had no qualms about going for a swim even though she was no fan of tubing. Go figure.
Matt & Cade
Madi's dad "helped" her decide to join the fun.
Sarah helping Cade get on the tube.
Madi found some shells

Matt being Matt
Madi & her Dad exploring

Again, Matt being Matt,... chunking a giant rock at the girls while Cade takes notes!

Olivia vs rocking boat. Rocking boat wins!!

aaawwwww... O.K. you two, knock it off.

Makynli getting her style on

Buckets, spoons, lake water, and dirt with a bunch of acorns make for lots of fun. Who'd of thought!!

We had a little visitor. The kids loved "playing" with the turtle. We were just starting to think that Staci might not be such a girlie girl after all until she squealed when the turtle moved too unexpectedly. Brave girl.

Bye Bye Turtle

It happens when your trying to be brave,... but expecting something to happen,... and when it does,... it is just too unexpected, EEEEEKKK so you lose it!! You know, it's happened to you before, right? HA! :p
