Lake news

For those planning on joining us at the lake this year for July 4th, we have expanded our outdoor living space with a 16x40 covered deck on the front of the house, so now there will be more space for our large gatherings. Of course things wouldn't be right with us if something else didn't come up in the middle of our construction, so the great deal we found on a boat dock, just couldn't be passed up even if the timing was bad, but then as I've said many times, that's our way!! We did manage to find enough time to unhook the dock from its previous location and float it to our location so now we have a dock which, by the way, is going to be another project to finish when we had already decided that we weren't going to do any more projects until we finished all the others that are close but not DONE (finishing?... another of our ways). Anyway we should be able to enjoy the dock this year for our July 4th celebration, and since we lost the open deck at the house we previously used for tanning and watching fireworks, the upper deck on the boat dock will be a great substitute, and the boat lift is definitely a big welcome for Sammie since he won't have to mess with getting the boat in and out of the water all summer long. The boat slip is smaller than our monster of a boat (of course) so we will have to do a little reconstruction on the dock but Sammie doesn't think it will be too big of a job. Anyway, we are really looking forward to all the fun with our family and friends this summer!!!
